The only question i have is what are the regulations on Bucks where you live. you mentioned a button buck for example but here in missouri if he doesn't have at least one antler 3 inches long we have to use a doe tag. I know it not really relevant to your post but something that was on my mind.

The county you hunt in regulates the yield. If you wish to hunt only trophy bucks that is great. But realize that the herd must be controlled. Substanderd bucks and population of does must be controlled to produce quality bucks. I apreciate your concern and it shows great maturity as a hunter. But, remember, what we do is not just about trophys or meat. But herd management.
