Pointers on videoing the hunt?

Pointers on videoing the hunt?
OK, I've messed with trying to video hunts before while hunting by myself. Putthe cam on a tripod or camera post and let it kinda be. Maybe pan back and forth occasionally and aiming it in direction of deer I shoot when I see them. But I have never captured an actual kill.
So now me and my boy Ben are going to the farm in Southern IL (Johnson county) for the October 6/7th IL firearm youth hunt. I figure this is a great opportunity to finally get some success.
I guess my biggest question is where should I be set up in relation to him?
He may bein a treestand or on the ground.
If he gets his first deer, I would love to have captured the moment on video.
Any suggestions or pointers? Definate things to avoid?
