This is what we use kind of a crappy drawing but i have no pics of them. Make sure you use a cap on the pipe to keep water out.

I made a few 6" PVC gravity feeders. Just pop a 90 degree elbow on it and strap it to a tree, covering the top with a plastic bucket from the dollar store. A 5 or so foot piece holds about 50 pounds or more.
Substitute a "Y" union for that elbow and hang it where the "Y" is at least 3' off the ground and the turkeys won't empty it. You have to glue a short straight piece to the bottom of the "Y" with an end cap that has drain holes drilled in it to let rain leak through. It won't exclude coons and squirrels though unless you hang the feeder from a standoff that they can't grip ,or hang a sheet metal baffle above and below the feeder.

We don't hunt over them, but we keep a couple of those pvc pipe type that Kevin described, with the Y union on the bottom, for years like this one where there won't be enough acorns or other feed to get them through the winter. Takes about 5 minutes to assemble, and they work well. Don't make the mistake of substituting a threaded cap for the top. They may look waterproof, but they're not. I have one like that, but I just hang a coffee can over the top to exclude water.
