RE: Is deer meat really needed?
Please tell me, what 6 states have banned hunting entirely? I do not think that is true. And if you think "Thou shalt not kill" applied to animals, you need to do some serious studying of early Jewish culture.

RE: Is deer meat really needed?
...Saint...
there are so many holes in your "argument" it's almost not worth responding... almost. Where is it said Jesus was a vegetarian? Scripture and verse? Either give factual evidence, or be totally exposed as a liar. "Thou shalt not kill" is interpreted from the original text, which actually is talking about murder, not killing. Otherwise, all killing would be wrong, and God specifically told the Jews to kill.. many times, when He led them into the promised land. "Why do you feel that it is okay to brutually kill these magnificent animals to fulfill your selfish ways? They have as much of a right to live a long happy life such as yourself." I don't brutally kill animals. I kill them as quickly and cleanly as possible. I don't like to see animals suffer. And just who granted these animals their "rights"? Do animals write laws? Do they legislate? Do they hold "animal courts" to prosecute those bad ol' coyotes for ripping the intestines out of a living cow, while she is still alive? Animals don't have rights. Man has rights... and responsibilities... one of which is the responsibility to manage the resources God gave us.. and to treat lesser creatures humanely. See the word "humanely"? Comes from the word "human" ... only humans can be humane. "and if any of you have ever read the beginning of genocide then you will know that in the garden of eden everyone was a vegetarian." hahaha... I'm assuming you meant "in the beginning of Genesis"... or perhaps you were having a Freudian moment.. you're correct.. it appears that in the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve didn't eat animals. So? Adam and Eve got kicked out of the garden... sorta changed every thing. There are too many places in the scripture that clearly indicate that animals are for our consumption... and to try to make a case for scriptural vegetarianism is just an indication of intellectual bankruptcy at best, and out and out lying at worst. You're going to have to do better than that... so far you've just showed your ass to the board..... "Progress, far from consisting in change, depends on retentiveness..those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." Santayana |

I would treat both them equally.

That statement alone says it all! This may be Ingred Newkirk. As a rule, I don`t respond to you radicals, but I find it amazing that you can speak of Jesus, and quote verses from the bible while equating a human life to that of a beast! I truly feel sorry for you. NRA,UBP,BASS Member New Stanton,PA |

RE: Is deer meat really needed?
You can look at it from a non-religion point of view as well. In all of nature animals and even many plants kill to survive. Humans are no more than highly developed animals and killing is still in our nature. It is and always will be instinctual. If you were a deer, would you rather be killed immediately by a 7mm bullet ripping through your heart and lungs, or would you rather be hit by a Geo Metro and then have to lay there and die slowly of internal injuries while the two tree huggers who were in the car try to figure out how to get you into the back seat and take you to the vet?

RE: Is deer meat really needed?
I got one for our little mole. If no hunting how do you keep the animal population in check? I think if you salad eaters would look at some real facts, you'd see all states/provinces in NA have a very high and in some cases over-populated deer herd. If these places had a major brain fart and actually banned hunting, how would they contain sustainable deer herds? UH, don't know...well it would be a mass slaughter...that is right up your alley, hey!!!! What about CWD? No that's not a new brand of Tofu. What about TB, limes, etc...hunters also help in minimizing the risk of disease. What about tax dollars, since I do know many hunters who don't work...but I can tell you I've met a lot of your types who live off the hand out system. What about wild bear populations? I can just see the headlines now, "The group who fought so hard to ban bear hunting, were mauled by the out of control population of bears." Hey guess what bears like veggie's....better not go to sleep a night in your synthetic tent with you sythetic pilla! You mentioned GOD I find this funny "SAINT" you are trying to play God, protector of the universe crap is not God's word, it's yours. Get off the pot!
You know I would like to know if you animal rights people actually know anything about the animals you think you have the right to protect. What do you know about whitetail deer? Have you ever witnessed them in natural habitat, within mere feet? I have so much knowledge, respect and love for the animals I choose to hunt. Hunters do more for the animals they hunt then all of you veggie, sign toting tree hungers have. You guys make me sick, we don't force hunting and meat on you, but yet you feel it's your "RIGHT" or is it WILL to force your views/lifestyles on the masses. Guess what your in a minority here and everywhere!!!! |
RE: Is deer meat really needed?
Saint I don't know if I should take you seriously or not!!! If your serious about what you have said then you are a shallow person. first you say everything you own is made of some sort of chemical, what do you think that does to the environment? Next do you drive a car? what about the pollution that your putting in the air? Do you live in a wooden house, if so how many resourses where ruined for your luxuries? I hope you can see where I'm going with this. I'll bet you ruin more wildlive with your luxuries then you realize. If you live in a cave without any modern conveniences I'm sorry for calling you a hipocrit. I seroiusly doubt that you live in a cave so all I can say is get alife and leave real people alone. One more thing there has been a study done about brain activity between animals that eat meat and ones that don't. Quess what meat eaters are smarter, but you already new that because of some of your post!!!
