RE: Is deer meat really needed?

How many acres of wilderness are funded by hunters? Money from hunting licenses and proceeds from hunting products buy thousands of acres for these animals to live on. The other land is turned into town houses and strip malls. That loss of habitat is worse for bambi than hunting. The ones that don't starve have the oppurtunity to get smashed up on the highway. That's a better alternative. I don't want to hear any of this "nature took care of itself before hunting" crap either. In the old days there was more habitat and there were natural predators to keep populations in check. Maybe we can divert funding from homeland security and buy all the fuzzy creatures birth control pill. I hope they will be compliant in their dosing regimens. If everyone went vegan, how many acres of woods would have to be stripped to grow all the soybeans? You have an unrealistic goal. I guess you also want me to forbid my little son from going fishing when he's older, right?
