Rangefinders
I am trying to find a good deal on some rangefinders. Anyone know where I can find one?
I just updated my website. Go check it out. I have big bucks, paintings, my drawings and more. Sign the guestbook while there.

RE: Rangefinders
Mic, on the bow forum, they mentioned JC Penny had an online deal for 99.00 plus another $10 off when quoting some discount phrase for a Bushnell Pro Sport. this unit will work on deer from 10-200 yards I believe. (I know they said guys got out of stock, but some mentioned they phoned and JC would honour the price when they restocked, others staed they had walmart match the price) In any regards if this is what will work for you check out the post "Deal on rangefinders" (or something to that effect! I believe cabela's sells the same model for 179.00.
I have a Bushnell Scout, it ranges deer from 10-300. But i have ranged deer from 7 yards to 330 with it, it will do rocks and trees to 450 and buildings to 800 yards. It is light and easy to use. I think it is about 279.00 on cabelas.
Check ebay as well. From what i have heard and read the 2 best are Bushnell(for the lower priced ramngefinder) and Leica(high priced).
Hope this helps!

RE: Rangefinders
What range do you require? At longer distances only expect to be able to range deer to about 2/3 to 3/4 of the rangefinders ratings. My 800 bushnell would range deer to about 550 yards under perfect conditions and much less in fog ,haze or rain or snow.My 1200 leica will easily range deer to over 600 yards in almost all conditions.
