I would say save your time of displaying your deer with people who understand what hunting is all about, your hunting buddies, family, friends etc.Show it off after you harvest it and when you get it home. The Anti's will never understand what hunting is really all about so don't give them anything to even look at including your trophy. The only way the Anti's will ever understand is if they hunted themselves and that is like them telling you to quit hunting it just isn't going to happen.

I usually just put it in the back of the pickup with a cap.If it has a big rack I just let the rack be seen. But I am known to take a big racked shoulder mount and put it in the back of my honda and let the head and rack hang out of the hatchbach and drive arond the gamelands and there parking lots watching the hunters druel. And I often drive around with a mounted deer in the front passengers seat.Just strap it in the seatbelt. At one time I drove around with a deer leg and tail sticking out of my grille for 2 months. Most people just laughed.

In my liberal state of NJ we have to have a portion of the deer exposed. I use a deer carrier attached to my hitch and you should see the looks that I get in my area. The closer I get to the NYC suburbs the worse they become.

In contrast, we drove in rural Illinois last year with 2 big rackers on a small pick up and people were honking their horns and giving thumbs up.

I was on my school bus and saw a buck and a doe strapped on a 4 wheeler on a trailer, since I live in "Hickville, USA" everyone thought i was neat, and I the HUGE deer hunter I am admired the 6 point. But I guess little old ladies, politicians, and Antis would have a field day over it

How do we know? We might just encourage a non-hunter to join our ranks by showing a big thumping buck off in our pick-up, I will guarantee we are not going to change any of the anti's to our side whether we show it off or not. Seems like by trying to hide it that you might be ashamed of what you have done.

naaahhhh the antis are pretty much set in their ways...the only thing that ive seen that even remotely changed any antis mind is after they hit one w/their car and their insurance rates go up. there was a local news interview here where they were having problems in the cleveland area metro parks so the city hired sharp shooters to thin the herd a bit....an antis got vocal on the news condeming the city and the killing of the deer....then low and behold the same antis hit a deer and totaled her car a couple of days later and went back on the new retracting what she had said...and agreed that the deer needed thinned out...LOL
however ive been deer hunting for some 25 yrs and i do think its pretty tacky to strap a dead deer to the hood of a car. unless its a state law where you hunt and have to have the deer exposed i would discourage you from strapping a dead deer where everyone can see it.

If that is the only way you have to haul your game then fine.. but no one wants to see the field dressed half. As for the "ANTI'S" every one of them can kiss my bright white A$$!! This is AMERICA.. & if you don't like what I do, there's new land available in Afghanistan going up for sale. What generation did these fool come from & HOW did they survive? Let's all go back in time about 300yrs & see how many of these "ANTI'S" come knocking at our door's looking for food. I'm sorry if I offended anyone but that's just the was I see it. If I shoot a B&C than EVERYONE is going to see it!!!
