Bruce i like your titles!!! I am going to start calling myself the HEAD RAMROD!!!!!!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
And you pretty much said it.
Being the head ramrod is not easy sometimes. you want to keep a good club with good members that get along. one bad apple can ruin the camp! i know the feeling i have all ready one that will probably get the axe next year. i am going to wait until after turkey season to make the decision. but i will talk with others before doing it. mainly because without the rest of the club you won't have a club. it takes money to run a club so i need the others. i have a list of folks who want in but i like to be selective.
But it does come down to who is in charge.
Oh yeah just a idea try charging a little more so you have money in the bank for the club. so that you can refund and run off if needed.

Take care of it now but as a group if everyone at your camp feel's the same then as a group the voice will be more clear to him instead of coming from one person,Our deer camp delt with a similar deal but the individual stole a bowstand he found while hunting when I approached him about it he told me basically to #^^&&* off that I couldn't tell him to leave so I got with the group and together we told him he got the point then

Well quite a few years ago we had a similar problem with someone who was invited to hunt with us by one of our regular guys, with the camps okay...turns out, he thought he knew everything about hunting & how to run our bush that we had been hunting in excess of 20 years...needless to say, he made no friends in our camp & even screwed up a few pushes by not staying where he was positioned...at the end of the hunt he was told by the hunt master, with all of us present, that he was not welcomed back ever again...unfortunately you will run into a-holes like that...just my .02 cents worth...Brampton Mike

PS: that camp fell apart a few years ago for numerous different reasons & I hunted with Bosstom this year & had a great time with a great bunch of people!

Hey Brampton Mike,,, was this camp in The North Bay area? and did that fool blast a chipmunk on the openner after not seeing anything after the morning sit? If so we are talking about the same Jacka$$!

I only found out about him getting tossed for this after we got home from our hunt and I contacted a member of that group. Seems its a pattern, and he just cant get it through his thick skull that it isnt an acceptable behaviour at deer camp, or any hunt camp for that matter!

The type of people I would want in my camp wouldn't need a second chance. They'd get it right the first time. Boot him.

If he has no money tied into the lease and is simply a guest, give him the boot right away. If he has sunk money into the venture and has a legal right to hunt, then give him the boot at the end of the season.

This is the reason I only hunt with family and very close friends.

Well I did it,, wasnt the most pleasant thing ive ever had to do but it had to be done!

I got the well &quot;screw so and so&quot;, and &quot;I didnt do anything wrong&quot;. I also got the, &quot;ive been hunting longer than any of you&quot;. &quot; So and so has only had his lic for 9 yrs,, and the other had his for 5&quot;. &quot;Ive been hunting &quot;deer&quot; for 12 yrs, I know what I am doing! (he killed his first deer this year,, out of one of my stands!)

I have hunted with the others from the time they recieved theyre lic's(I took them for the classes) and I trust them completely! This was the first time I had ever hunted with him and I couldnt believe he had a lic. for 15 years! Ive also hunted 15 years and have never seen stupidity like this,,, from anyone!

He also said well next year I wont do it, and we have too hunt the tags so if someone doesnt get a deer they dont get any meat(thats b.s., we party hunt and everyone splits EVERYTHING equally!, besides its a moot point!)

He just wouldnt accept the fact that he was no longer welcome to hunt the property anymore. He also told me he was going to go call the owners son,, which he did. The owners son told him it was my call to make, and that he agreed with the reasons why he was no longer welcome.

My deer group has been officially pared down to 4,, and there is only 1 other person that will ever be allowed too hunt with us on this property,, now he has to get the wifes permission!!lol..
