He needs to be gone now, before he hurts somebody. This reminds me of when two years ago our camp leader brought out a new guy at the begining of rifle season. He set this newbie up, he had all his tags and all but had never hunted before. Our leader set him up in HIS stand before dark and said just wait I will come back for you. Well, long about 8:30 this guy gets bored and needed to lose a few pounds so he get down drops his pants and takes a huge crap right under our leaders stand. He was holding on to the steps of the stand while he was doing his thing. On top of that he ended up losing the $100 radio that our leader loaned him. It was the funniest thing I think I have ever seen. Needless to say I have not ever seen him again. It cost the leader $100 and a good spot for a while.

Get him in a headlock and tie him to a tree deep, deep in the woods. Pull his pants off and rub some honey on his Arse and wait for the bears. Then shoot around his head screaming " did you see that Quail?"
Seriously though...Lose him quick. A dick is a dick but safety is paramount.

Thanks for the advice guys. I am the one that was given the permission to put a group together by the landowner, so I am considerred "Head" of camp. I also hand out the required permission forms for the property, and ultimately I am the one responsible to the landowner for anything that were to happen. But we have decided as a group that we do not want this type of behaviour going on, its counter productive. We had warned him before he went, that any foolish actions would lead to his removal. Ive got a feeling he knows its coming!
I have already discussed the situation with the landowners son(he was up with us, but doesnt hunt). I warned him that we were going to be removing him from the group and EXACTLY why!
I also told him that very possibly he will go directly to him to try and get the permission too hunt. I have been assured he will not be given it, and he was very happy that I came and discussed it with him. Hes very happy to see that there is a very safety conscious group on the property and if there are problems it will be dealt with!
Thanks for the advice, if you have any more I'd love to hear it!

Get rid of him before he hurts or kills
someone with what he has done in the past
should be enough to show you what he is like
and the safety factor has got to considered
as things happen even when people are trying
to be careful,good luck!!

GONE NOW. I agree with the others. If he has money in the lease, give him a check back and pile all of his stuff in a neat pile so he can hit the road.

Not a lease, a friends family owns just under a 1000 acres in some of Ontario's best deer country for the past 50 years. They use it as a summer getaway and no one in the family hunts since the grandfather passed 20 years ago.
They love having some friends using the property for deer hunting and all they want is the firewood cut and a little maintenance done in the summer. We buy a couple good bottles and give them a couple loin roasts and steaks and they are tickled pink! They have already told me that as long as the property is in the family I will be able to put a group together for deer hunting, and it wont be sold anytime soon!
I DONT WANT TO SCREW THIS UP ONLY 1 YEAR INTO IT!!!

Where do I send my application and dues for next year? (and dont even TRY to tell me you dont have any openings...hehehehe)
No, seriously. You definately did the right thing. I think we would all agree that as immature as this guy seems, there is no way he would take responsibility for his actions if someone were to get hurt. Thus, you as the 'leader', are responsible for taking care of the others in your camp. Kudos to you

Hunting is the one sport where, if you are playing right, the other team doesn't even know you're playing.

we got a new lease this year and the owner put me in charge. he gave me the rules and said he would come to me if ant were violated.on this lease was me, my son, and 2 buddies.my sone thought since i was in charge he could do what he wanted. i had to kick my own son off before the season ever started. i makes me very sad to have to have done that. on the other hand the owner could have kicked us all off.what you have is a decision that has to be made now. you have to set guidelines before the season ever starts and let them know what will happen if they break the rules. he needs to be gone now. it all depends upon what the rules were before you started. good luck buddy.
