I am in the same boat!
ORIGINAL: hldeerhunter

The gun is more than enough to git r done, but with all the grass in front I would be hesitant to shoot. If you were into shooting deer in the neck, which I am not, then pull the trigger. Otherwise, I think I would have to pass.

I'm agreeing with the majority, if I am hunting that spot then that means there aren't any houses that would be in my shooting lane. That little amount of grass is not going to stop me from taking a vital shot, the deer is now in my freezer.

I'd take it, he's showing the lung, is close and the gun will easily take him. Its now or never.

I LOVE these angle shots!! its like he is forming a glove, yes aim behind the last rib but if you miss left or right its a dead deer, assuming you dont miss by feet, especially with the -06. Hes in the freezer and on his way to the wall!

Knowing the potential of a 30-06 and the fact that the grass appears a mere yard in front of the deer the bullet would not be affected. However, since this is not a wide angle view and the hunter is on the ground, I would have to pass sincewe can't see what is beyond the deer. If that is known and safeI would take the shot.
