You Call The Shots VI

Weapon:.30-06 w/ Scope
Range:75 yards
Conditions:Afternoon; Overcast
Winds: Windlightin your face
The Scoop: This swamp buck is just getting of the heavy cover and heading for some more. You had a six foot clearing, but he has already passed four foot of it. It is too thick to get a shot after this. Can I say, boom?

I have confidence in that rig and am so close to saying "BOOM", but I just can't do it with that grass in front. Not so much worried about bullet deflection as I am hitting something I can't see there, like another deer or whatever elsemight be behind the buck. No good backstop, either.

With the blurred background there is no way of telling if those white blurrs in the background are what I think they are - houses.

So for now - no shot with a rifle.

The gun is more than enough to git r done, but with all the grass in front I would be hesitant to shoot. If you were into shooting deer in the neck, which I am not, then pull the trigger. Otherwise, I think I would have to pass.

Assuming those aren't houses in the background(It just looks like sky to me), That little bit of grass wouldn't stop me.

Man that's a tough one. Last day of the season and he's dead where he stands.
