You must mean you're buddy has a 32-20 Win.? It's commonly a levergun, but it's not a popular caliber, and what is this .35? Do you mean a .35 Whelen? I thought that's a longer range caliber.

I understand that the the bullet isnot going to hit the ground right past a 100 yards but I will feel like I have a less of a chance with a smaller caliper.
Going to try and go look at some today.

If you want another rifle, buy another rifle, but it will be hard to find a better caliber than the .270 that you already have. The best "100 yard gun" that you will be able to justify is probably the same slug gun you already have. I guarantee you can buy a lot of shells for the price of a new rifle. The smaller caliber (than a .270) doesn't really make sense (caliber is the approximate diameter of the bullet).

my buddy has a 32 not a 32-20(never heard of that caliber untill today). and mine is a 35 rem gamemaster. not the 35 whelen. as far as long shooting, not to sure i never use it for that. i use it, along with my 30-30, for my brush guns.

I would guess a 32 special. I believe it is a Winchester caliber. I have heard about it on a Marlin forum. Ballistically, it is alot like a 30-30.

First off I would keep your 270. It is a great caliber rifle and will do almost anything you want it to.
Secondly, I would have a nice sit down with the landowner and convey to him how confident, carefull, responsible, and ethicalyou are as a hunter, never taking skyline shots, never shoot in the direction of a building or if he has cows always ask where they are and be aware of their presence, and so forth. I am sure he will respond positively.
Good luck.

Of course he won't! The landowner is a Nazi for crying out loud!!!!!!!

"Der Sauerkrauten kartoff ist ein der Reich! Heindeho!.........Was ist das ein der hofteinichtenstern von grundenvar!!! Deir Shwarzwald ein der Reich ist der golpdein shpat ein Ewropa!
Hiel Hitler!!!!!!!"

That's what the landowner is going to say.

Ina grossen flaisen bier bitta. That's all the German I know. I probably didn't say it correctly but you get the gist.
Good luck.
