i shoot a 30-06 browning lever blr rifle and every once in a while when i pull the trigger it wont budge!! i missed out on a 6 point tonite because of this!! when i jack a cartridge into the chamber i put the hammer into the safety position and when i see my target i pull the hammer back and squeeze the trigger and nothing happens, BUT as soon as i jack that cartridge out and put in an another one it will fire... is it because i apply the safety and then put it into the fire position when i see something that the trigger wont move? any suggestions?? thanks

This is a safety feature built into your rifle. You have to make sure the lever is all the way up against the receiver or she will not fire. Another problem I ran into was to make sure you use a lubricant that will not freeze easily. This will also cause a trigger lock.
I hope this helps. MV out!
