What is a good distance to set up near a scrape line?
Do decoys of bucks draw bucks out into the open earlier?

Good Question. I normally don't hunt scrapes...

I recently read that bucks only come back to check a few of them.

In some cases bucks make about 200 scrapes/year.

MOst of htem are randomly made. SO i really don't know...

i really don't hunt scrapes because you never know when the deer is going to show up *caution don't get too close of that deer will never come there during season* if the scrape is near the open like a field then the deer will never visit the scrape untill sundown but if it is in the woods then the deer will come check it during deer daylight.i think a decoy will help motovate the deer to come out in the field because by seeing another deer in the field they will feel safer i would say a good distance would be 50 yards and out
