For now i would go with decent camo and cover spray. concentrate
more on learning the basics. deer sign, shot placement, animal recovery,
and most of all safety. just have fun with it, dont get discouraged if you dont score. and remember its the thrill not the kill. Good luck with your adventure and if you need more advise, this is the place to get it. alot of great people on this board.

Go for comfortable clothes. You do not want to burn up in the fall and freeze in the winter. Check Bass Pro and Cabela's for sales on hunting gear. Use spray to cover your scent. I think Scent away is what I use. Shower in the stuff etc.. Be patient and still as you can. Have fun and do not get discouraged. What kind of gun did you buy and where do you hunt?

Dress comfortable, hunt the wind, spend as much time as you can in areas that have a good number of deer, and most important, have a good time.

I personally don't completely buy into the sentlok hype. just my opinion. I just use sent killer, and most of the time I make it my self. Also if your hunting from a ground blind you won't have to worry about scent as much and the expensive camo won't even make a difference.

Find a mentor to hunt with. Someone with good ethics willing to teach you.
