1. When the Dragonflies are flying above your head the barometer is dropping from 30 and it's down to 26causing High Pressure. There's a possibility of a rain front or cold front. The deer also sense this and head out to feed before it arrives.
2.Chances are you won't see a spyder on it's web.
3. At a certain barometer reading ants will be travling in a straight line.
There are more, but I just remember these at the time.

i am a moon phase nut., i really do believe in it ., from fishing to hunting ., i have for the past 10 year put a log in the computer on winds.,temps.,moonphase.barometer,ect., and i go back to it all the time., and you would be amazed of when i shot deer and caught fish when that moon is full and athigh noon!., i have not had very good hunts when the moon is full and at night ., but dont forget the phase when it is full and during the day ., watch for it to almost be mid-sky to high sky,.and get out hunting ., just try it .,

I see that our gun season opener will coinside with the full moon this year.
Unlike some that have seen this help the rut, I feel that it hurts the rut "hunting" in my area.
First, I know that the rut is like clock-work! Within a week, year after year!
In my area the rut usually peaks the last weekend of bow season, or around the openning of gun season, the following weekend.
I am not sure if it is just "observed, daylight activity" or maybe a more prolonged , less pronounced rut. My belief is the latter!
