Default Fawn survival question. (pics)

How big/old does a fawn need to be to survive on its own?

ie. take its mom Sept. 27th will it survive?

ps. this is the one I am refering to.

That deer will have lost its spots along with its summer coat and looks plenty healthy and big enough to live on its own, especially setp 27th, thats over a month more of growing!

Yep, you'll never know it was a fawn unless you realize it's smaller than other ones around.... Unless there's a mature deer around when you see it for immediate comparison, it can be sometimes tough to even tell that they're this year's deer!

I would say that he looks healthy enough to be on his own.
