What cal./rifle do y'all use for deer. I use a Hawkens .50 cal muzzleloader with 100 grains of black powder. Ive always wanted to hunt deer with a 30-30 (one of my favorite rounds), but I do most of my hunting in RI and its illegal to hunt with center-fire rifles (go figure), but when I get my 7.7mm Jap up and shootin, I'll hopefully use it to hunt deer here in CT next year or somethin

Well I always get the job done in archery season but if I pick up a gun in rifle season rather than take my bow it is a Remington BDL .270

30.06, .45/.50 ML, or H&R Heavy Barrel .20. Like an earlier post mentioned, usually bow is all that is needed.

I use everything except a rifle. I mainly bow hunt, but I use a slug gun quite a bit too. Looking at getting a TC Encore this year for the 12 ga, and .50 Cal capabilities.

7mm-08 that is it

6.5x55 Swedish or .35 Whelen (dad's gun), depending on the situation.
