if you was walking and fell in big hole just you leg went in.nobody can hear you scream,no walkie talkie,nothing but your bow and your knife.when you look at your leg there is bones stickin out of your leg,and your leg is twisted all the way around blood everywhere[X(][&o].what will you do.just sit there and wait for help,cut off your leg,scream,and then pray that you live.if i was in so much pain i would cuttoff my leg,what would you do, this is a survival question.as hunters we need to know what to do in these situtations.so when we are hunting be careful out in the woods,my buddy fell over a stob and broke his nose and and jaw over a big rock ouch....he was lucky i was there to help him get back to the truck.

Hello 911, this is a hunter, I just cut off my leg, come help, here is my location, I will be the one leaning up against the tree

I always have somone who knows where I am and what time to expect me back. I' m not cutting off anything that might be salvageable. Help would come, I know that for a fact. Make sure somone knows where you are.

take off belt, make a turnaquite (sp) around leg above the broken skin, if its bleeding that bad, mark the time you tied your turnaquite on your forhead with blood and the letter T next to it. as careful as you can, climb out of hole and crawl, limp, hop to the nearest help. if you cant get out, make tuernaquite around leg stay put, dont move. i guess last ditch effort would be make turnaquite around your leg, cut off leg, youd probably pass out before your leg was severed, if you could stand the pain, mark time on forehead. by time i mean time of day. and try to climb out, if you had the strength.

man, that a tough one.

If I could get my leg out of the hole then I would cut the bow string and use the limbs as a splint.
Tear off my shirt cut it into strips for pressure bandages, fashion some sort of walking stick and make my way back to the truck.

ausie that is a good one use the bow limbs as a splint.that will work.
