3 days to the opener here.......am I ready
Ok, Shooting here in MN starts on Saturday. I think I am ready, but maybe I have missed something:
Hunting clothes are hanging on clothesline, getting the natural air on them.
Have gun, rifled barrell, red dot scope mounted, and sighted in (hitting 2" shot groups in center of target at 50 yds.) Plenty of shells.
New boots
Good knife
Rope
Cleaning gloves
Milk jug for nature calls
TP, and trash bags
Zip loc bags.
Bino's.
Flashlight, and head lamp.
Have everything put in back pack, and in my seat-bucket.
Plan on de-scenting also.
If anyone has any additional suggestions, I am open to them
Thanks

another thing that i carry with me is a piece of 1/2 pvc pipe about 8 to 10 inches with about 10 feet of rope tied to it. It stores easily because when it is not in use, you just wrap the rope around the pvc. I use this in case i have to drag a deer out of an area that i cannot get a vehichle or a 4 wheeler. Just tie the end of the rope to the deers antlers or neck and use the pvc as a handle. It's a lot easier on your back than bending down grabbing legs and taking little short steps. Hope this helps.

I have a checklist developed for both a typical hunting and fishing trip. I have given it out before and it is pretty inclusive. If anybody wants it, let me know and I can give you my email. It is in Microsoft Excel format.
