i am thinking about using a product called black magic made by
deer cocaine. how well does it work? do deer use it all year around?
do deer use minerals during the hunting season?

When did you try it? The deer use it heavy June thru Aug in NC. By hunting season they rarely touch it. So it's not something to hunt over, but it can make a difference in the antlers you see during hunting season.

About 2 years ago when I used it the 1st time, in Junefollowed the instructions, poured it on the ground, soaked itin the dirt and then cover it up like it said to do.
Week's & month's went by with nothing hitting on it.
Last year in June, tried it again along with the cocain stuff mix it up and still nothing.
This year I'm not going to waste my money or my time.

I tried it for the first time 3 years ago. They never touched it. But the following spring they tore it up and I noticed an increase in antler size. Last year I really could tell a difference and have a nice hole to prove it. I put it in an area that had alot of foot traffic. So I guess I like Deer Cane.

Sounds like another product to get your money. A simple mineral lick will do just as good and won't cost as much. I feel there are a lot of deer hunting product sellers out there laying on the beach in Hawaii dreaming up more junk to sell to the hunters.
