King Snakes when first seen look mainly red.
Coral Snakes when first seen look mainly yellow.
The last coral snake I saw was on a bike ride and he was right in the middle of the trail. I couldn't avoid him, friend of jack or heart attack.
And with certainty I can say coral snakes are bigger than 12". I have seen way bigger here in Florida. I wish I had a picture of the one my dad handed over to the Florida Wildlife Department.
