what kind of snake

Default what kind of snake

the boys found this in the pool skimmer swimming around,is it a chicken or corn snake, not for sure what kind it is,thanks.

It's a type of king snake. Harmless.
Red on yellow, kill a fellow.
Red on black, friend of jack.

It's a king snake.

The phrase above..."red on yellow, kill a fellow", "red on black, lucky jack" is used to tell the difference between a coral snake and king snake.

Red on Yellow is the Coral Snake.
Red on Black is the King Snake.

Also, I'm almost certain that Coral Snakes don't get longer than about a foot. We have them here in Eastern NC, and I've never seen one much larger than that.

think your right, i zoomed in and the patterns are close, mine is a bit bigger, would it be right to find him in the pool.
