Default Drop sheds early?

I saw this on another forum. Do deer that have been injured drop thier antlers earlier than otherwise healthy bucks? Also, when should I start looking for sheds in Kansas?
Thanks

I have not heard that injured bucks drop early. I found one shed last year around Christmas and have seen one big bodied boy that had already lost his as of last week.

Badluck, I've found fresh deer sheds as early as November in Kansas, even though it's a rarity. But they oughta start dropping fairly good in another month.

I've read that antlers usually start to drop later in the southern areas, like around Jan to Feb. Not to say you wonldn't find any earlier than that, but it's not likely.

I work at a place whre I see a lot of deer, and they still have all theirs so far. Just this week I've seen an 11pt, a 6pt and a 4pt, not to mention 3 does. When I start seeing them without the coatracks, I'll post it.

Keep 'em all in the Bull.

I shot a nice buck that had a previous injury to its leg. While draging the animal out of the woods, its antler came off. This was late November. I attribute this to the injury and the stress the animal was under.
