My very first time I went shed hunting, I drove to my hunting spot, parked my truck and made a bee line for the woods. I had walked, no almost ran, past some of the best shed area to get to these woods. When I got just inside the woods, I stopped, looked around and wondered where I should begin to look. Right there at my feet lay an antler from a 6 pointer! I thought, holy smokes, this is going to be easy! Yeah Right! It was kind of a cool way to find your first shed, in 5 minutes.

My uncled had killed a 6 point in late dec. and we gutted it and started to drag it out and we started going up a hill and the antler he had a hold of came off and he fell on his face from putting all that pressure on it going up the hill.lol

My friend and I were driving through a big hay field to cut some firewood at the other end when I heard a "clunk", "clunk" sound coming from the right rear tire area. I asked him what that noise was but he didn't know either. Stopped the truck, got out and checked around and found a 3pt shed stuck in the tire. The noise we heard was the shed hitting the inside of the fender. Since the field was somewhat wet we knew the jack would sink making our situation even worse. We decided to pull the shed and drive the truck back to the gravel road as fast as possible before the tire went completely flat. Afterwards, he tells me "I just walked that field a couple days ago looking for sheds." Sure wish he found it before my truck tire did!
