RE: best deer jerky?
I think you mean a dehydrator!
I got mine cheap at target, I marinate 2 pounds venison in 1 cup soysauce, 1/2 cup worcestire sauce, teaspoon of garlic powder, tsp of red pepper, tsp onion powder, 3 tsdp salt, 2 tsp brown sugar. cut 1/2 thin strips, let it all marinade overnight, then dehydrate til its dry (usually 4 hours or so for mine)....

You can go to walmart andbuy a dehydrator for about 45.00 bucks. Then theres like a jerkey gun kit with different spices. If you have a jerkey gun you can buy just the jerkey packets there about 5.00 dollars (six packets)the brand is nesco same with the dehydrator. I get the original flavor it is a big hit at school.

Bunch of them on here. Read through and find the one that sounds best to you and give it a whirl.
Like others, I recommend a dehydrator, but if you do use the oven, put it on it's lowest temp and make sure the door is open just a tad to let out the moisture. It'll make your house smell wonderful. :-)
Good luck.
