Default Pre-Hunting Rituals?

The thread in the Bowhunting section about musicgot me wondering. Does anyone else have anything else that they always do before they hit the woods?

For me I wake up and eat 4 pieces of toast and drink 2 glasses of water. Just something that I watched my dad always do when I was younger and just kind of picked it up. Once I get to my hunting spot I check over all my gear (draw my bow back, check grunt call, etc.).

If it's shotgun season I usually get there about an houror sobefore it's time to head out and talk over with everyone what the gameplan for the day is and what stands they are hunting from.

Anyone else got anything similar?

I have several pre-hunting rituals..........Night before opening day we have a big poker game and set up a big buck contest and rules for our hunting group...........Once the season starts my morning pre-hunting ritual is to make a big ol cup of coffee (other wise I never touch the stuff) Afternoon pre-hunting rituals always start out with a long talk with a man about a dog.

I always take my rifle, unless it's bow season, or I forget.

before i leave the house, i go over all my gear to make sure everything works and that i have everything i need. drive to the woods where i park. exit my vehicle, load my rifle or shotgun...kissing each round prior to loading. slip on boots, tree stand, grab back pack and rifle and start my 45 minute walk to my stand.
