Default Which is the best place to set a stand?

I know we would like to have ALL of these in our hunting area but which do you think is the most productive for dominate bucks?

this is a hard one because all of these choices are good area's to set a stand BUT if you could only find one of these, which would be the best place? Remember, you're looking for the dominate buck, not just a "deer".

Gee I'd like to reply or vote but I don't see mine on there. My favorite stand for a mature buck is a Funnel stand. #1 is between two doe bedding areas during the rut. #2 is between his bedding area and the local food source in the evenings during the pre-rut. I guess you could classify these as bedding or feeding stands, but the funnel part is most important to me.

i'm guessing your "funnel" would classify under general trails. if he's walking the same path between the feeding and bedding area's.

I guess you could look at it like that, but for me , a funnel has to have some type of pinch point that forces deer movement into a restricted area which increases your odds of getting a shot at them. Rather than taking your chances by setting up at some random point on a general trail with no pinch points or funnels. You know, " I set up in a funnel between two bedding areas." vs. " I set up on a trail between two bedding areas." The funnel is what makes it happen.

I like funnel areas too but I mostly hunt food sources. At the begining of the archeryseason, before the rut, bucks are unpressured and worried about food. After the rut, they are chasing does. Guess where the does are? Worried about eating.
