I was dog hunting last year and I shot and bloodied one up that was the same size or bigger than that one. He ran into a clearcut and the dogs went and there and hushed..so i knew he was dead, but we never found him and didnt find much blood on him. I think he layed up behind one of them trash piles and we just walked all around him. I was disappointed that we didnt find him.

seriously now......how do you NOT recover your game when dogs are involved. either it travelled afar or you didnt give much effort

I let a deer with similar spikes walk a few years ago. He had a big body and was chasing does. I wish I had killed him. My neighbor shot him a couple years later, and said that he must have weighed close to 200lbs, and he was still a spike. Congratulations!

Hey thanks for all the kind remarks....and Im not BS'n ya.......definatly my best spike to shoot or see and I think I am gonna Euro mount him.
Im headin out this weekend for the last time this season. Next weekend Christmas, then the next weekend new years........
