I was dog hunting last year and I shot and bloodied one up that was the same size or bigger than that one. He ran into a clearcut and the dogs went and there and hushed..so i knew he was dead, but we never found him and didnt find much blood on him. I think he layed up behind one of them trash piles and we just walked all around him. I was disappointed that we didnt find him.
seriously now......how do you NOT recover your game when dogs are involved. either it travelled afar or you didnt give much effort
