tx only you can answer the question of "what constitutes a trophy too you"? No one can give you that answer because obviously the quality of the animal is different in anothers eyes. Are you hunting by your own prarameters or someone elses? That has ALOT to do with it.

MY BROTHER AND I always held out for something BIGGER cause growing up cause there was 6 hunters/fisherman the family.....MOM,DAD 2 BROTHERS ,SISTER and ME..So it didn't take long before the DEEP FREEZE WAS FULL...

Since the hunting season is 4 months long it allowed my brother and I to be more selective in what we wanted,ANDWE also took advantage of harvesting other animals that we may not have tried...FOR EXAMPLE .SHEEP,GOAT,CARIBOU...

I hold out for a BIG BUCK now that I'm older , cause either a MOOSEor ELK are my main source ofdiet, and will last my family through most the year..Along with fish SALMON (SOKEYE and CHINOOK) I'm good....

well typically I harvest 2 does whether it be in archery season or the later part of gun season. Luckily I hunt 2 diff places which are both about 500 acres. I see plenty of deer it is just that I dont see many mature bucks. I love being outside with the wildlife it is just that I have come to a point at which I would rather watch most deer than harvest them. Sure if a beauty comes out I plan on taking it and thanking God but it seems like yr after yr I do not get a buck and am spending time and money which never produces the big one. Dont get me wrong I love the outdoors but the extra time looking for that big bucks gets me in trouble with the wife and other things due to the extra tiem it takes in hope of getting a nice one
