Makes you think twice about feeding deer. I guess they are really watching or someone was a rat. I do agree it is a little harsh on the lady...

I've seen her on the news several times getting hauled off for flouting this particular law , if she keeps breaking the law then she deserves to cool her heels in jail . With CWD now in NY what she was doing was just plain stupid .

there's a crazy old woman down the road from me that caught a deer and kept it. Now she keeps if fenced in the back yard. Its a nice 6pt buck but its small. I guess keeping it pinned up stuned its growth, I am not sure though.

The law is the law......period.
Imagine if 2-300 were "feeding" the deer. It could lead to disease, and
possibly a unhealthy herd. Plus...it's dangerous.

If it were a first offense I would consider it extreme. It sounds like she knew very well that she was running the risk of jail time and decided to go ahead anyway. She made her own bed...in the local jail!
