QUIT WHINING AND TRYING TO BE POLITICALLY CORRECT
#51
Hey Timber,
This was the only place in the document that tries to define a concept of time. I'm using the following thought process to come to my conclusion:
It is lawful to take, catch, kill or attempt to take, catch or kill mussels during daylight hours.
and
It is illegal to do this between sunset and sunrise defined as nighttime
so
Daylight hours is between sunrise and sunset
It would surprise me if Daylight hours for mussels would be different than Daylight hours for deer, but who knows.
Good luck,

I liked the post TH. I agree, although everyone enjoys a little bit 'o drama here and there, there are certain posters who seem to make it a daily goal to turn every thread into a bashfest. From my observations, every message board has 'em. We all have the opportunity to elude it though... ya just don't reply to it. There are plenty of times I have had certain people post questionable things to me, I just act like I never read it most of the time. LOL
If someone has a different opinion on ethics or practices, I just leave it at that. I figure everywhere in life there are going to be those with vastly different opinions than yourself. You make the choice whether to deal with it, or fight it. Fighting it is often a losing battle because especially when it comes to hunting, most of us have our "systems" ingrained (sp?) into our brains! It's awfully hard to change something that is second nature to you. We are ALL entitled to our opinions, and within the law, we are entitled to our practices, it's what makes us who we are. There are simple ways to coincide with others who differ... if they are carting an open carcass around for everyone to see, and you don't want to see it, don't look. If they are shooting at a time that you wouldn't shoot, who cares if it's not directly affecting you. If he says it would score a 150 and YOU say it would score a 160, who's to say EITHER of you are right? Are you a professional, on here, it is more of a "game" to GUESS the scores anyway, I mean, you can't even TOUCH the rack, so who in the heck is to say if EITHER of your scores are accurate, and quite frankly, who really cares? And WHY would you let your BVD's get into a bunch over it anyway? Is it REALLY that important?
What I am trying to say that the single most important factor in the conservation of game hunting is BROTHERHOOD. UNITY is what will keep our sports alive and kicking for generations to come. Yeah, everyone concerns themselves with the anti's... well, I got a bit of news for you, the ANTI's do NOT hold the future of our sport in their hands. WE DO. The only thing the anti's get outta childish banter is a good laugh. Don't give 'em the time of day. If YOU want your grandkids to have the privelages of hunting, than be proactive in your sport right here, right now. Practice safety, practice the laws, practice comradery with fellow hunters, EVEN if they do it differently than you. If someone's life is threatened by something they are doing during a hunt... speak up, at that point, it could be a life/death situation. But if it is basically a simplistic difference of an opinion... LET IT RIDE and be a brother.
We are all brothers and sisters in this sport, and blood is thicker than water, let the blood of the great outdoorsman flow through you and come together to protect what we hold dear as hunters. The future depends on us.

I got some news for you. Neither of us do. It's the 75% (and growing) of the general population that has the future of hunting in its hands.
If it's with in the law,
I can hunt with dull broad heads. I can give up on a blood trail, just say didn't think I could find it.Heck I can go hunting with out knowing the first thing about tracking.I can take shots aI know are "iffy" come on the internet and wonder why people hammer me.
I can come up and sit 40 yards from you on public land. I can say "No you can't track that deer on my property" then tag it as my own.The big tent thoery doesn't work anymore, I think the internet is to blame for much of it.
Wish I was ignorant to some of the stuff that goes on in the "hunting community" it would be a lot easier to keep my mouth shut.

We all dont do the same thing, if someone shoots a buck or doe and looses it "thats hunting" it happens to us ALL.
Yes it happens to all of us, we aren't supposed to question someone when they have it happen alot.I've seen people post on here well I stuck two tonight couldn't find either of them. Aw well that's hunting.
Geez I took a neck shot with my bow and didn't find him. Don't worry the crows have to eat to.
It was a big shot so I took the only shot I had. Forget about it ethics is a personal thing and besides the coyotes need protein in their diet.
I made an iffy shot and didn't wait, booted the deer out of his death bed, and now I need help finding him.BTW, It's 68 degrees out and I went to work all day. Don't worry about it just walk down wind of some thickets this week You'll smell him. Make sure to post a picture of his rack ok?
Learning proper shot placement is not to be done on live animals.

I am so tired of all these people trying to be so politically correct with there hunting ethics
Who you better care about is the non hunter especially with the way houses are going up every where. Let them folks find dead deer in their back yards, keep hanging a deer bloody head out the back of your pick up when you could just close the gate.
Give them that Ted Nugent in your face response when they talk to you along side the road and you'll keep seeing more of these.
This isn't Deer hunter 4 !!!!

you want to see bad shot placement watch most of your bow hunts on tv, unbelieveable

I like that. Mind if I use it?
Glad to see you escaped being eaten by one of the many mountain lions in your area this weekend.[8D]
