That is a problem to have to choose between those two great calibers. I just couldn't do it so I bought both.
. My 308 is a Browning a-bolt and my 7mm08 is the NEF Handi rifle which shoots very well as does the Browning. Now I just have to decide which one to use on a given day or hunt.

The 7mm-08 is not quite a 280 but its close. Either would make a very good big game rifle. I have owned three 280's as well. We are lucky to have to many good choices.
