shotgun sighting
Anybody have any tips on sighting my gun in. It's an 870 with a rifle barrel and 2.5 -7 scope on it. It's grouping well but the partition slugs i'm using are super expensive, and I want to get it set dead on. Any tips would be helpful.

RE: shotgun sighting
start at 25 yards to make adjustments quick. move back to 50 and shoot to affirm zero ( may have to adjust a little. at fifty see from back of box or web site were you want bullets to land from aiming point. for me it's 1.5" high at 50 yards with my 3" lightfield sabots. once it's shooting right at 50 yards fire once from 100 yards to confirm. i zeroed my gun in with about 5/6 rounds it took about a half hour. my scope was really high so if yours is lower than my it should zero in maybe 2/3 bullets quicker. good luck and happy hunting

RE: shotgun sighting
jimmy got the idea here.
I might also suggest no matter what make gun and shell you chose - Keep the "Barrel Cool" between shots and keep "Barrel Clean" between shots(3-4 rounds max).DUPLICATE YOUR ACTUAL FIELD CONDITIONS - My .$O2
Face It - Slingin Shotgun Slugs is a pain in the Buttocks!!
