Get the American Harvest (I think that's what it is called) from WalMart. You need a certain amount of heat for jerky. It has a variable control and 4 racks. I fit just about 4lbs of meat in it at a time. I made a lot of jerky with it last year. It worked well.

Bought one for 10 bucks at the dollar store, it works fine, don't have a fan in it though. It takes around 24 hrs. Good luck

Thats funny I got my dehyrater going now makeing some venison jerky. The one I have I got from the Sportsmen Guide catolog that has maybe 8 racks with it. I can do 3 good size roast cut down to size and it usually takes about 12 hours if the meat is properly sliced to about one-eighth of an inch thick. Later.

Xcellerator great idea! This ranks right up there with the golf cart deer carrier. And you've inspired my next question for the board. Thanks again.
