I'm new to this forum, and want to jump right in.....Over the past several years, I've made several neck shots on does, usually not wanting to tear any meat up. I've used a 30-30 and 22-250 when doing so, and they've dropped on the spot.. Usually, bang-flop....

where exzactyl is the magic spot to hit in the neck?? can comeone post a pic ofa perfect neck shot? or take a pic ofa live deer to paint and draw a line up and down the neck of where youd want to hit??just wondering....id like to know where the magic spot is?? dead center?? what if its facing you?? or looking away?

I am not a fan of neck shots! Yes, if you hit them well, they drop! Hit them bad, and they suffer, and aren't usually recovered!
Like DD said, I like to hit 'em where they are bigest!
I'm just curious at the "meat" hunters taking neck shots! You must have never had a good neck roast! Double lungers wastes about zero meat!
