Deer feeder
I was wonder if anyone has good plans for building a feeder to put corn in to feed the deer. Or if anyone knows of a website with plans. With winter approaching I thought I would build acouple of feeders for the winter and was wondering if anyone had some ideas.

The best choice would be to take a 55 gallon drum and put a timer type feeder on the bottom. If you make a self feeder you will feed more coons, rats and all other vermin than you do deer.

Ours is just a trough made from 2X4s. It was on an old TV stand - but the bears wrecked it. Then I fixed it to 4 big logs - but the bears wrecked it. Now we just pour a couple of buckets of shelled corn on the ground.

No I'm only looking to put a feeder out during the winter so shouldn't have any problems with coons. I just thought if someone had some kind of feeder that they have built and it works good would like to know how they built it. I would like something that would hold maybe 400 lbs of corn since I wouldn't be able to fill it on a regular bases so would have to be something the holds enough corn to last a good week or two.
