nocturnal whitetails
It appears more and more here in southern new hampshire that most if not all of the deer herd in my area are all night travelers. Is there any really effective way to either find where the deer hide during the day or to get them to travel during the day. Do those scrape daytime drippers really work effectively? I know there are plenty of deer back there and where they go i just cant seem to fun into them during the day. Thanks in advance.

From my expirenc, it seems that deer just move more in th night. The best times to see deer would be sunup to around 10 ama nd then from abot 4 to sundown. Now I have heard, but not tested this, that the bigger bucks will move between 11 and 4. This is what I heard. Now there are some deer that move during the day, but they may be far and few. A guy on my club shot spike the other day at 12:30 pm.
The drippers do work. We have used them in the past. Thre is one that works really well and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is, but I think it is by tinks. Also der suckers work well as do penut butter.

I agree with the others. Mature bucks tend to move more when there is less pressure....like when we hunters go to lunch. I would recommend staying in your stand during those "lull" hours.

with my luck, at first light, or 10 to 2, during the rut anytime, deer are smart, they can hear when you come in the woods and leave, and remember they don't grow those big horns running around all day. good luck. this pic was taken about 30 mins. after dark.
