Default evil fighting deer?

i had 7 deer come into the stand tonite and i saw fighting amongst them ive never seen before. i dumped several very small piles of whole corn out and spread the rest all over from just a 3 gallon bucket. they would get up on there hind legs and actuall start kicking there front hooves trying to take out the other deers eyes. mother nature can be evil sometimes. i take it this is a sign of little food for them?
