Default Full moon?

How do you hunt during the full moon? What locations? What times?

With exception of the cooler weather we've had this past two weeks, its still in the mid to high 80s and touches 90's here in SC.

I tend to see a lot more deer during the middle of the day when it is a full moon. Anyone else have any input?

Default RE: Full moon?

Full moon and clear days seem to be less productive as a whole for me. If cloudy the effects or differences aren't as noticable. I try to hunt in deep transition so pressure, light conditions, etc don't affect their movements as much as sitting near or on a main food source or open area. I really try to get mid way at least or as close to their bedding areas as possible with this way of hunting the wind is absolutely essential. As such I don't really spend much time hunting my main locations until well after the deer have moved back to bed, usually 2-3 hours after sunrise. This allows me to better gauge the wind and the deer to return to their safe grounds. I find deer do move all day when they feel safe, soI suggest trying to locate such spots.

For me full moon and the rut are really hit and miss...deer are far less perdictable at these times. Obvioulsy it can't happen staying home but they require a bit of grit as you expect that both should mean better odds.

Good luck
