The DEC just recently open a lot of area to rifle hunting, which now includes Cattaraugus and Allegahny Counties in the Western Part of the state. I was just wondering if anyone had any comments about it, because I've lost permission to about 1000 acres total now that were on 3 different properties, because of the opened rifle season, and land owners fears about city hunters trespassing, which is a huge problem in Cattaraugus County, where i live.

Ilive in catt county also near case lake and i for one am a landowner and i am happy for the rifle season. I can see both sides of the issue with some landowners closing off there land to folks but over time it will be just a passing thought as long as we respect otheres lands and do not trepass. This will blow over after this season and all will be well again...
