I don't use bait, feeders, treestands, box blinds,or dogs, but I don't condemn anyone that does if it is legal where they hunt.I hunt using my own methods and don't pretend to be a better sportsman than those that use other methods.

Like I said in another post, corn or bait isn't magic. Yes the deer may eat it, but its usually at night. Bait alone will rarely bring a mature deer out of its nacturnal ways.
I have hunted overcorn and bait all my life and have never shot a mature buck off of a corn pile. I think that ya'll who have never tried it thinks if you throw some golden "magic" on the ground that the deer Gods just toss down deer like rain drops. This is so far from true.
I assure yousomeone that hunts over bait or feeders has to use the same precautions as someone who doesn't. And it takes just as much skill as someone who doesn't.Just b/c theres feed there doesn't mean you don't have to scout to find out where to put the feed in the first place. You have to select the right stand placment, watch the wind, and every other thing that you have to do w/o using any.
I honestly don't put corn to attract bucks b/c I never really had any luck with mature deer over bait. I use it mostly to attract does that will have bucks following them.
Let me ask the ones who oppose it this question. Do you think that hunting over an oak tree that you planted is the same as hunting over bait?

Know what you are talking about before talking!
I've hunted every legal method of hunting over the years! feeders ARE NOT a majic shortcut!
In fact, I'd say hunting over a small grain crop, is more predicable than a feeder!

He posted this same question in bowhunting forum. There it got deleted fast. The only reason he got kicked off his team is because he told a team mate who is in a statethat allows it that he was a poacher for hunting at feeder. So this is his little get back for it.This kid needs to grow up and let dead dogs lie.So his post gets deleted in bowhunting so he brings it here.if I was a moderator I would consider banning this kid.
Where it is legal it is legal and there for not poaching or a bad thing. In some places like texas the only way you can get a deer anywhere near you is by feeders then by all rights do it.He needs to open his mind and learn the facts about where and what people have to deal with and why there are feeders there in the first place.I make and hunt a small food plot.It is legal and if someone ever told me I was poaching for hunting in it.I would probably knock there teeth down there throut for being ignorent to begin with.
