Bucks like crazy and comfortable!!!
Hey this is huck im from tennessee i had another name and was a nontypical member so i had posted quite a bit an forgot my password an lost my backup thing so here i am. Im sure you guys an gurls have read up on all the rut information such as i, and i cant clear something up and would like a little help. When magazines talk about finding a good staging/transition area an thats where bucks are more comfortable in daylight hours and just before they start heading for food sources in the evening when that "internal light switch" flips an they head that away..but what i cant get is how an what these areas typically look like in farm country where small wood lots are common. I mean do u look for thickets an rite at the transition to where a thicket opens up into open timber is that a staging/transition area that would be good for rut daytime hunts or wat? I would appreciate any help.

Well I'd look for a thick spot down wind of where your does are exiting. It also could be in a standing corn field. Hard to tell without seeing. Look for alot of rubs and scrapes.
