Illinoise Deer Hunters!
Hi all, I have a freind who is 14, is not a resident to Illinoise. He has become good freinds with a guide in Illinoise, and the deal is, if he gets a license, he can come up and bowhunt in November. To people who know something about it, what kind os license(s) does a non resident bowhunter under the age of 16 have to have? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

He'll need the same license as an adult. He also needs proof of passing a hunter safety course in IL or his home state.
NR license-about $50 for the season or $30 for 5 days.
Habitat stamp $5.50
Combo tag-$325 OTC doe tag-$25
Good luck!

If he wants a buck he'll have to buy the combo tag.Single buck tags are not available.
He will need to apply before July 31. The draw is after that. If he is hunting with an outfitter, make sure he includes the outfitter name or number. The DNR site is where to apply.
Good luck!
