A question of scent....
During deer season I also like to take my dog bird hunting (or at least a walk in the woods - lol) during mid morning and early afternoon and then focus on deer later that day.
What recommendations do you have to ensure that the scent of my dog (probably on me) does not interfere while hunting deer?
Unfortunately, I do not have a complete change of hunting clothes.
Ay thoughts would be appreciated.

Try some cedar scented spray it is pretty strong, but it will be hard to get rid of the smeel, especially with the scent of the dog all over the woods. My suggestion is take extra clothes and take the dog to the other side of your property or alter your days (dog one day hunt deer the next).

That's tough Jimmy.
A scent eliminator such as buck fever vanishing hunter might be a good product to try. It works well for me but I aviod animals (cats and dogs) before I go hunting. A whitetails nose is far more sensative then I can comprehend and there is no guarentee that any product will eliminate the scent from your hands or clothing.
The best "fool proof" suggestion I have is to hunt the wind. I'm sure this has likely crossed your mind already though.
I store my camo in a rubbermaid tub with an open box of baking soda. I'm not certain this would help but it's inexpensive and can't hurt.

What type of hunting clother are you refering too? If you wear hunter orange while out with your dog and you think you're stinking up the hunter orange I'd just buy one of those hunter orange vest that cover your torso and another hunter orang hat. Use one with the dog and your good clothes for hunting animals with acute sense of smell (deer, bear, ect.)

I don't think the dog smell will bother them as much as your scent. Depending on how much time between hunts it may be wore off or dispersed enough to be minimal. I do believe if it's warm sweating would be more of a worry, pack some scentaway spray or carbonblast. Reconsider packing extra close.
