when i am planing on walkin the trees, i soak strips of cotton (towel) in doe urine. then put them in ziplock bags with just the string i will be touching hanging out. i tie them around my boots and hit the woods. I have had bucks walk rite up on me, scare the crap outta me. Not the safest way thing in the world, but it has worked.

Always...and I mean ALWAYS look out the door of the hunting cabin before you open it to head for the outhouse with only a roll of TP in your hand.

Know the area you plan to hunt like the back of your hand, also know how the wind affects where you set up.

know every part of your land, all escape routes and runways.

always watch the wind

always be ready to shoot, even when walking in.

Stay silent, and shake all your gear before you hunt; eliminate anything that could possibly make a spooking noise

When huntin" breaks, take a pard. One of you goes up one side of a draw, the other take the other side. One hunter moves ahead while the other sits and watches for deer that may get up. The first mover then stops and selltles in to watch, the first sitter chucks some rocks into the brush at the bottom then hunts uphill like the first hunter did. Repeat that all day, you will put up deer.
