I live in WA state and for the past ten years I have been archery hunting I have relied on alf alfa fields to pattern deer and set up for potential kills. This year my buddy and I have noticed more farmers are planting canola. In fact, my buddy is now surrounded by canola fields vs.hay. Since this is a new trend in our area, I am wondering if this will change our hunting for the better, the worse or will it not affectthe deer movement at all. We're just not sure if deer like canola, orif they willprefer alf alfa on neighboring farms, moving deer out from my buddys hunting area.

J,
I don't know how it will effect the deer but one of my land owners in Illinois has told us stories of how he used to plant canola and the deer would tear it up so bad..Now do they like it more than alfalfa I don't really know but let us know would you.. Walt
