winter canola for deer
Any one have experience in planting winter canola for deer? Plan on broadcasting it the 1st week of august after the winter wheat is taken off. Thanks.

RE: winter canola for deer
Around here in a lot of the agriculture fields there is something that we always called wild turnips thatNOTHING eats. The local county ag rep told me that it was canola that has scattered from years ago when some of the farmers planted it for oil. I'd double check just based on that.

Thanks guys, did an internet search and lots of references with deer and crop damage, figured it would be good. The farmer that leases our land uses it for winter ground cover and gave us a 25lb bag.
