Hey does anyone know of a good butcher, reasonable price, clean with a good reputation,in the ALbuquerque area? I am interested for the fall elk season and trying to line things up early.

www.anywho.com search businesses under butchering, meat processing, or game processing.

This is who my brother and I have used for the past few years and they do a good job or we wouldn't use them. With that being said there aren't but a handful of butchers in a 100-mile circle of ABQ.

The last time I used them was in 2007 and I needed to have the meat processed in a hurry since I was on my way back to Phoenix to pick up my son who had just got home from the Gulf and we were heading off to Colorado to elk hunt. The lady who owns the shop did a bang up job getting everything ready in 2 days instead of the normal 5-7 days. Pay the extra to have your meat boned out and double wrapped it's worth the extra money. Good luck...
